SHAH ALAM, Jan 21 — A total of RM59,923 has been allocated for upgrading works on two suraus and a religious school in the Subang Jaya constituency.
Its state assemblyman Michelle Ng said RM19,990 from the total amount was used for Surau Nurul Hasanat USJ 8 to replace new carpets for the prayer space, improve the ablution section, renovate the female restroom and for the supply of a 37-square metre’s tent.
“While RM19,992 was used to upgrade the facilities of Surau Al-Mukminin PJS 9 which include paintworks as well as pest-control treatment.
During my visit to both the mosques last year, I found many equipment that needed replacement for the comfort of its users,” said Ng in a statement.

Besides that, Ng said the remaining balance of RM19,941 was channelled to Sekolah Kafa Integrasi Jalan SS15/2E to repair its road, main gate as well as construct a malaria-prevention drain and installing a cover to it.
“Previously, the students and teachers had to open their shoes to walk past the area because it was always filled with water here,” she added.
