SHAH ALAM, Jan 17 — The Hulu Langat district has recorded the highest number of daily cases in Selangor yesterday with 536 new infections.
The Selangor State Health Department said 366 of the cases registered were due to Covid-19 close contact screenings.
“The Kajang (sub-district under Hulu Langat) recorded the second-highest figure at 287 followed by Ampang (99), Cheras (62), Semenyih (56), Hulu Langat (17) and Beranang (15).
“Meanwhile, Klang (district) saw the second-top figure (in Selangor) with 441 cases, whereby Kapar recorded 370 infections and 71 in Klang,” said the department on Facebook yesterday.
Petaling and Sepang districts both registered 146 cases each, with 106 recorded in the Damansara sib-district and 109 cases in Dengkil.
As for the other districts in the state Gombak recorded 104 infections followed by Kuala Langat (53), Kuala Selangor (29), Sabak Bernam (7) and Hulu Selangor (4).
