GOMBAK, Dec 14 — The Covid-19 situation in Selangor is still under control despite recording the highest new daily cases, said Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Selangor Menteri Besar said the new cases are expected to continue rising following the large-scale targeted screening involving foreign workers.
“I conduct meetings all the time to stay updated with the latest development concerning the outbreak as well as preventive measures being taken.
“The people of Selangor are urged not to worry, it is just that I would like to remind on maintaining (your) discipline, abiding by the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and keep complying with the recommendations issued by the Health Ministry,” he said.
Yesterday, Selangor continued to record the highest new daily cases at 435.
The total constituted 35.4 per cent out of the nationwide total of 1,229 new Covid-19 cases.
