Team Selangor provides essential goods for travellers from Sabah

SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 — Team Selangor volunteers have prepared 500 packs of essential goods for passengers returning from Sabah, who are required to undergo Covid-19 screening at both the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the supplies were handed over to the Malaysia Airports Bhd to be distributed to the travellers.

“The 500 packs contain food, drinks, face masks and hand sanitiser for the passengers that have returned from Sabah and are awaiting their turn to undergo the screening,” said Amirudin via Twitter yesterday.

In the same posting, Team Selangor had expressed its hope that the effort would ease the burden of the passengers.

The mandatory Covid-19 testing for those returning from Sabah have caused quite a congestion at the two main airports.

The Health Ministry had since increased the number of medical personnel as well as medical equipment at the airports to ensure the screening process runs smoothly.
