PETALING JAYA, Sept 3 — An e-hailing driver was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of his girlfriend’s three-year-old son.
B Jeetendraj, 26, nodded after the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Nurshahira Abdul Salim, but no plea was recorded.
He was charged with the murder of U Varunesh at an apartment unit in Jalan Kenangan Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, here at 11.45pm last Aug 21.
The charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, provides the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor P Vitiya Monisha prosecuted, while lawyer R Sivaraj represented Jeetendra.
The court set Oct 20 for submission of the chemist and post-mortem reports.
