SHAH ALAM, June 17 — Steel beam structures of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) that is under construction had collapsed this morning near the Komplex Pasar Besar Meru in Klang, Harian Metro reported today.
The incident was confirmed by Selangor Traffic Enforcement and Investigations Department chief Supt Azman Shariat.
“Police have arrived immediately at the scene after receiving the report and kept the traffic situation under control.
“The roads at the affected location have been closed off on both sides and traffic has been diverted. Investigations are still being carried out,” he was quoted by the Malay daily when contacted.
The incident was said to have taken place at 5am and no casualty was reported.
