SHAH ALAM, April 20 — The fourth operation of the Selangor Covid-19 community screening will be held in three locations beginning tomorrow until Thursday.
Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the drive-thru testing is a free service open to those in the high-risk group, such as the elderly and those show symptoms.
Details of the locations are as follow:
- Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi multipurpose hall in Sepang, on April 21 (Tuesday), from 9am to 6pm
- Bukit Beruntung Golf Club in Hulu Selangor, on April 22 (Wednesday), from 9am to 6pm
- Gombak District Office, on April 22 and 23 (Wednesday and Thursday), from 9am to 6pm
About 400 samples are prepared for the residents in Sepang and Hulu Selangor each, and 1,400 for those in Gombak.
“To date, 3,011 individuals were screened through thee community screening programme and out of the total number, five had turned out positive for Covid-19.
“The state government would like to thank those in the frontline, including the Selcare Clinic volunteers, the District Health Offices, local authorities and the police,” said Amirudin in a statement today.
Selangor had launched the large-scale testing programme on April 11 in several hotspots in the state as part of its efforts to identify more cases within the community and break the chain of covid-19 infection.
