SERDANG, March 4 — The completion of the Cardiology Centre in Serdang Hospital in June next year would be able to facilitate the management and treatment of cardiac patients from across the country.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the centre that will be separated from the main hospital building would ease the specialists to systematically manage the patients.

"Serdang Hospital is a referral centre for cardiology and heart-related illnesses.

"We are proud that with completion of the Cardiologist Centre, the hospital would attract those from the outside (of Selangor) and that the patients can be referred to faster treatment," said Amirudin during a working visit at the Serdang Hospital Cardiology Center construction site, here yesterday.

The Cardiology Centre is a Federal government project developed under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) in Selangor, involving almost RM306 million.

The project had begun in March 2018 by Nadi Cergas Sdn Bhd.

The eight-storey Cardiology Centre would include one building block with 262 beds and a nine-storey parking block.
