SHAH ALAM, Feb 5 — The Selangor government is prepared to provide quarantine centre for novel coronavirus patients, says its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

Following the first local, who is a 41-year-old man from Selangor, to test positive for the infection of, Amirudin said he had met with state executive councillor Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud to discuss on the matter.

“We have identified several locations, should the Health Ministry request for it,” he told reporters when met at a meet-and-greet event organised by the Malaysian Hokkien Association, here today.

Yesterday, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad had confirmed the first Malaysian to be infected with the coronavirus, after the patient had returned home from a work trip in Singapore.
