SHAH ALAM, 6 May: The people of Selangor are invited to attend a thanksgiving ceremony for the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat's (PR) victory which will be held at the Shah Alam Independence Square on Thursday night, this 9th of May.
"As a token of gratitude, we are inviting the people to the Independence Square this Thursday, 9 May, for a thanksgiving ceremony and talk," said Selangor Pakatan Rakyat Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim at a press conference today.
According to Abdul Khalid, apart from providing a simple meal, a talk will also be held.
Pakatan Rakyat managed to retain power in Selangor by winning 44 out of the 56 Selangor State Assembly (DNS) seats, thus controlling two-thirds of the DNS seats.
In the 12th General Election (GE-12), Selangor PR managed to form a new government in Selangor when they successfully won 36 out of the 56 constituency seats contested.
