KOTA BHARU, Feb 12 — A timber factory owner was arrested yesterday for allegedly processing 749 logs while various illegal machines worth an estimated RM2.28 million were seized at a timber factory in Kampung Sebidang, Tumpat, Kelantan.

GUA MUSANG, Dec 10 — An Indonesian man was found dead after being hit by timber in the logging area in Kuala Betis, here yesterday.

KOTA BHARU, Dec 7 — Sixteen of the 37 permanent forest reserves in Kelantan, mostly in the eastern district, had been encroached upon by illegal loggers in the last five years, said state Forestry Department director Abdul Khalim Abu Samah.
