Safe to consume pufferfish from Japan, says International Fugu Association

KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 — It is safe for Malaysians to consume pufferfish from Japan as Japan's extensive and tight safety regulations in processing and exporting the fish make the seafood delicacy safe for consumption.

Second senior citizen dies of pufferfish poisoning

JOHOR BAHRU, April 9 — An 84-year-old man who suffered poisoning after eating pufferfish on March 25, was confirmed dead at Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital, Kluang, yesterday morning.
