ANKARA, June 18 — United States electric carmaker Tesla has begun 10 per cent staff cuts, as layoffs paced up with recession fears in the American economy, with many companies either trimming their workforce or slowing down and freezing hiring.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 — A total of 99,696 workers were laid off between January and November 27 this year due to the spread of Covid-19, said Deputy Human Resources Minister Awang Hashim.

PETALING JAYA, Feb 19 — The government is advising and encouraging industry players whose businesses are affected by the Covid-19 outbreak to retain and retrain their employees to prepare for a rebound.
