KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 — The Economic Affairs Ministry (MEA) will continue to ensure the country's preparedness in dealing with the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak effectively by working closely with the Health Ministry through development funding to enhance national preparedness to face health emergencies and outbreaks.

GENEVA, Jan 24 — The World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Thursday that it was "too early" to declare the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), reported Xinhua news agency.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 — China has imposed a quarantine on Wuhan in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak there, the Health Ministry shared on its official Twitter site today.

BEIJING, Jan 22 — A total of nine people have died from the new strain of coronavirus in China, with as many as 440 coronavirus cases currently confirmed in the country, Li Bin, a vice head of China’s National Health Commission, told reporters on Wednesday.
