KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 — The Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023 was today re-tabled for first reading at the Dewan Rakyat today, among others dropping the provisions relating to the ban on the sale of tobacco products and cigarette as well as the smoking prohibition on people born on January 1 2007 onwards.

JAKARTA, Nov 4 — The Indonesian government has decided to increase cigarette excise tax to reduce the prevalence of young smokers and increase awareness about the dangers of smoking for 2023 and 2024, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said on Thursday.
