KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today urged Malaysians to use the Deepavali celebration on Sunday as an opportunity to keep fostering goodwill, mutual respect, and harmony within a multicultural and multi-faith society.
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said that despite cultural and religious diversity, the people share the same values: love, understanding, and the desire to live together in peace and harmony.
“This is the beauty of Malaysia that we must continue to preserve. Happy Deepavali to everyone celebrating!” he said.
Anwar also uploaded a video highlighting his visit to the Deepavali Mega Bazaar in Brickfields here yesterday.
