SHAH ALAM, Oct 11 — Seizure actions were taken against several premises in Klang yesterday after they were found to be operating without valid business licences.
The Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) said this was following enforcement operations in Klang Sentral and Bukit Tinggi, involving several departments.
In Klang Sentral, seven premises were inspected during an operation involving its Licensing and Enforcement departments, with only four found to have valid business licences.
The remaining three premises were found operating without a license and were run by foreign nationals.
“The premises conducted various activities such as mini-markets, live chicken sales, food preparation, sale of alcoholic beverages, barber shops, and the sale of illegal lottery numbers,” it said in a Facebook post this morning.
Seizure actions were taken against all the premises in question.
In a separate operation in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, the local authority inspected five car repair workshops, three car spray-painting workshops, and two engineering premises, all of which were found to be operating without valid business licences.
“One seizure was carried out, seven notices were issued and two compounds were imposed under By-law 3 of the Trade, Business, and Industrial Licensing By-laws (Klang Municipal Council) 2007,” it said.
