SHAH ALAM, Oct 10 — The RM100 million allocation to address flash floods in the Klang Valley under Budget 2027 will support the State Government's efforts to strengthen residents' safety and well-being.
Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the construction of the Bandar Serenia School Complex in Sepang, also included in Budget 2027, would improve comfort and access to education for the people of Selangor.
“I welcome the RM100 million allocation to address flash floods in the Klang Valley, as well as the construction of the Bandar Serenia School Complex in Sepang.
“These initiatives support the State Government’s efforts to enhance the safety, comfort, and educational access for the people of Selangor,” he said in a Facebook post.
Amirudin added that the 2027 Budget also focuses on Selangor’s economic growth through an allocation of RM1.25 billion for the development of data centres and logistics assets in Elmina.
He said the collaboration between Khazanah Nasional and the State Government in the semiconductor industry also holds the potential to create more high-skilled job opportunities.
Amirudin also said this development, if supported by skills training and mastery of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), can boost the income and competitiveness of the people of Selangor.
“I am confident that with skills training and the mastery of digital technology and AI, these initiatives can increase the income and competitiveness of the people of Selangor,” he said.
Amirudin, who attended the 2027 Budget presentation at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, also expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the initiatives benefiting Selangor.
The Member of Parliament for Gombak also said that he would actively participate in the budget debate to voice the people's needs.
Amirudin hopes that all announced allocations will be implemented efficiently, transparently, and in a targeted manner so that the benefits are truly felt by the people.
The MADANI Budget 2027, amounting to RM510 billion, was tabled by Anwar in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday to strengthen the national economy and improve the well-being of the people.
