PUTRAJAYA, Oct 7 — Higher learning institutions (IPTs) in areas with Air Pollutant Index (API) readings above 201 are allowed to determine suitable teaching and learning (PdP) modes to reduce health risks, said the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE).
In a statement, it said the need for outdoor activity should be assessed and adjusted according to the latest API readings.
The ministry advised IPT students and staff to refer to official updates from the Environment Department (DOE) and follow guidelines issued by their respective institutions.
“MOHE will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the operations of IPTs to safeguard the health, well-being and welfare of all its members,” it said.
