KUANTAN, Oct 7 — The Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK) and Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (POLISAS) have pledged full cooperation with authorities investigating the death of a female student who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend early yesterday morning.
In a statement today, JPPKK said both institutions would leave the investigation into the death of the POLISAS Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management student entirely to the authorities.
“JPPKK and POLISAS will continue to provide due attention, support and assistance to the deceased’s family. Any further information will be announced from time to time,” it said.
JPPKK also extended its condolences to the student’s family and urged the public to refrain from speculation or sharing unverified information, while respecting the family’s privacy and feelings.
Yesterday, Kuantan police chief ACP Ashari Abu Samah said police received a MERS 999 emergency call at about 4.32 am from the victim’s boyfriend, who informed them of the incident.
Ashari said the victim was found lying on a bed in a ground-floor room of the house, while a forensic specialist from Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) found signs of pressure on her neck.
