SEREMBAN, Oct 5 — The remand for the second suspect detained to assist in the investigation into the death of a Form Two male student in Kuala Pilah on September 25 has been extended by six days until Friday (October 9).
Kuala Pilah district police chief Supt Mustafah Hussin said the remand for the 16-year-old male teenager is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code, while the first suspect, also aged 16, remains remanded until Thursday (October 8).
"Investigations are ongoing; there are no new developments, and we are still awaiting laboratory test results," he told Bernama today.
Previously, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said that 69 statements have been recorded, and so far, five students have come forward to the police claiming to have been bullied by one of the two detained suspects.
On September 25, the 14-year-old victim was rushed to the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah after being found unconscious in his dormitory, and was subsequently pronounced dead.
