SHAH ALAM, Oct 5 — Johan Setia in Klang is the only area in Selangor recording unhealthy air quality this morning.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, the town recorded an API reading of 153 as of 10am.
Two other areas in the Klang Valley also had unhealthy air quality, namely Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (152) and Putrajaya (152).
Four other areas nationwide recorded unhealthy API this morning: Larkin, Johor (154), Pasir Gudang, Johor (154), Batu Pahat, Johor (153), and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (124).
Meanwhile, 60 areas logged moderate API readings, including five in Selangor.
Only one area recorded good air quality, namely Langkawi, Kedah (31).
An API reading of zero to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and an API exceeding 300 is hazardous.
