SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — Johan Setia and Klang remain with unhealthy air quality readings as of 5pm today.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), four stations nationwide are still in unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading.
The portal reported that Johan Setia recorded the poorest air quality level at 154, followed by Klang (139), Nilai in Negeri Sembilan (130), and Putrajaya (122).
Meanwhile, four stations in Selangor recorded moderate reading: Shah Alam (98), Banting (97), Petaling Jaya (91), and Kuala Selangor (76).
Seven areas nationwide had good air quality, mostly in Sarawak, with Limbang recording the lowest at 35, followed by Sibu (44), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (45), Mukah (46), Miri, and ILP Miri (47), as well as Kangar, Perlis (49).
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) also reported that thunderstorms, heavy rains, and strong winds are expected over the Selangor area.
Areas in Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Sepang, and Kuala Langat will be affected until 7pm today.
