SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — Six compounds were issued during an integrated operation against premises conducted by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) around IKS AU3 yesterday.
The operation was carried out by the local authority’s City Services and Health Department together with the Enforcement Department.
“During the operation, 80 premises were visited; 53 were inspected, while 27 were found to be closed,” it said in a Facebook post.
The inspection resulted in a total of six compounds being issued, with three issued by the City Services and Health Department.
The other three compounds were issued by the Enforcement Department for violations of the MPAJ Food Establishment Licensing By-laws, the MPAJ Trade and Industrial Licensing By-laws, as well as provisions under the Local Government Act 1976 and the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974.
The operation was conducted to ensure compliance with established regulations and conditions, while strengthening monitoring and enforcement of industrial premises within the MPAJ administrative area.
MPAJ said it will continue to conduct monitoring and enforcement to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly urban environment.
