SHAH ALAM, Sept 30 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is considering a proposal to provide a covered waste disposal facility and identify a new location for waste disposal in Kampung Kemensah, Ampang Jaya.
MPAJ said on Facebook that the proposal was discussed following a site visit to assess the current condition of the facility and identify suitable improvements.
“Among the matters discussed were a proposal to provide a more suitable and properly covered waste disposal facility, as well as identifying a more appropriate new location for the facility,” it said.
MPAJ said the measures are aimed at ensuring waste management in the area is carried out in a more orderly and systematic manner.
It said the improvements are also expected to enhance cleanliness, safety and comfort in the surrounding area.
The site visit was attended by MPAJ Zone 2 councillor Syed Ali Syed Harun Al-Idris, Urban Services and Health Department director Khairilazhar Ismail and representatives from KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM).
Also present were the Kampung Kemensah village head and officers from the Urban Services and Health Department.
MPAJ said cleanliness and waste management would continue to be given priority to ensure the community’s surroundings remain clean, orderly and safe.
