SEREMBAN, Sept 28 — Former Negeri Sembilan state executive councillors (excos) have been instructed to return official state government vehicles, said former state industrial, technology, innovation and digital affairs committee chairman Datuk Mohd Asna Amin.
He received the instruction in a letter from the State Secretary today and had complied with it.
“I am no longer using the official vehicle, but I received a letter earlier today asking us to return the vehicles, so we had to remove all our belongings,” he told the media after giving his statement to a police team from Bukit Aman at Menara Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan today.
The revocation of the appointments of the 10 Negeri Sembilan Excos, effective Sunday (September 20), was gazetted with the consent of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.
Meanwhile, Asna said he and the other former Excos were cooperating fully with the authorities in giving statements to assist investigations into the administrative and royal institution crisis in the state.
His statement-taking session lasted more than 30 minutes, while the other former Excos gave their statements separately from 11am to 2pm today.
Besides Asna, the other former state excos include Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris, Siow Kong Choon, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Suhaimizan Bizar, Datuk Razali Abu Samah, and Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa.
Fairuz, formerly the State entrepreneurship, human resources, climate change, cooperatives and consumer affairs committee chairman, said he gave his statement to the authorities for about two hours.
Yesterday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail said they had called up the former Negeri Sembilan excos to record their statements to assist investigations into the administrative and royal institution turmoil following several police reports lodged over the issue.
Besides the former excos, the police will also record statements from several other witnesses and individuals linked to the case to complete the investigation.
