SEREMBAN, Sept 24 — The revocation of the appointments of 10 Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council members, effective September 20, has been gazetted.
The gazette, dated today, was issued by order of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.
“Whereas pursuant to Article XXXVIII(5) of the Laws of the Constitution of Negeri Sembilan 1959, a member of the State Executive Council other than the Menteri Besar shall hold office for as long as it has my (Tuanku Muhriz) pleasure,” the gazette said.
The 10 are Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Siow Kong Choon, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, Datuk Mohd Asna Amin, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Suhaimizan Bizar, Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa, and Datuk Razali Abu Samah.
According to the gazette, all 10 took and signed their oaths of office and pledges of allegiance before Tuanku Muhriz on August 7 before assuming office as state executive councillors.
“In view of your breach of the said pledge of allegiance, I hereby withdraw my pleasure and revoke your appointments as members of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council,” the gazette read.
