SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Three main roads in Kuala Selangor will be closed in stages from Sunday for Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL), said the local Public Works Department (JKR) branch.
It said the 11am to 2pm closure is for the first leg of the race from Shah Alam to Perak’s Kampar.
“This closure is being done to ensure a smooth race and participants and road users’ safety,” it said in a Facebook statement today.
The roads to be closed are Jalan Bukit Cerakah, Jalan Kepong-Kuala Selangor, and Jalan Klang-Sabak Bernam, it said, adding that the routes will be reopened once cyclists pass through.
Kuala Selangor JKR advised commuters to use alternative routes and plan their journeys ahead to avoid congestion and delays.
It also asked the public to follow orders from police and enforcers on site to ensure everyone’s safety.
