SHAH ALAM, Sept 7 — Two homes were destroyed and a Honda Civic damaged in a fire at Kampung Telok Gong, Port Klang, early today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the department received an emergency call about the incident at 3.01 am.
He said firefighters arrived at the scene 11 minutes later, at 3.12 am.
“Upon arriving at the scene at 3.12 am, firefighters found two adjoining houses on fire.
“A Honda Civic was also damaged in the blaze,” he said in a statement.
Ashrul said firefighters then carried out extinguishing operations to bring the blaze under control.
He said the fire was successfully extinguished and no casualties were reported.
A total of 14 firefighters were deployed to the scene.
The team comprised personnel from the Port Klang and Sri Andalas Fire and Rescue stations.
The operation also involved two Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) engines, a water tanker and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
