SHAH ALAM, Aug 27 — The investigation into the death of a teacher at a school in Hulu Selangor has so far found no evidence linking stress to the victim’s death.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said a detailed investigation, including statements recorded from various parties, such as family members, colleagues, and students, found that the victim had been in good condition before the incident.
“Statements have been recorded from family members, colleagues and students, but they did not point to or confirm any element of stress, as alleged, as she appeared to be doing well.
“However, the case is still being investigated as a sudden death report, and police are working to gather further statements before referring the investigation papers to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, together with recommendations for further action,” he said during a media conference at the Selangor contingent police headquarters today.
Shazeli added that the deceased had served as a teacher for several years but had only recently transferred to the school and had been there for less than a year.
In addition, the police have yet to find any leads or personal problems linked to the victim’s death.
On July 30, a woman was found unconscious at a school in Hulu Selangor district, before she was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the Kuala Kubu Baharu Hospital.
