SHAH ALAM, Aug 23 — Tomorrow remains a workday in Selangor, not an occasional holiday as claimed by a fake poster that went viral today, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
In a Facebook post tonight, Amirudin said an official announcement on the holiday, if any, would only be made after the SUKMA closing ceremony at 8pm tomorrow.
He also confirmed the viral poster is fake.
“Please take note that the poster (that went viral) is fake and untrue,” he said in the post.
Earlier, state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said the state government would consider granting an occasional holiday if Selangor emerge SUKMA overall champion.
