GOMBAK, Aug 23 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice-president and election director Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will meet Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today to discuss Harapan’s cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN) for the Melaka election.
Amirudin said the meeting will set the tone for future decisions, including a potential meeting with Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
“I have a meeting tomorrow with Datuk Seri Anwar about this matter,” he said briefly when met after launching the Maulidur Rasul and Merdeka lead-up events at Al-Khairiyah Mosque in Taman Sri Gombak here yesterday.
Amirudin added that a meeting with Ab Rauf, if needed, would be held after Merdeka.
He also said there has been no final say on a Harapan-BN collaboration for the Melaka polls.
Amirudin, who is also Harapan election director, said he is ready to execute Anwar’s orders on follow-up measures and will issue updates to the media in the event of important decisions.
