SHAH ALAM, Aug 19 — Thirteen Selangor swimmers have booked their places in the finals at SUKMA Selangor 2026 after successfully clearing the qualifying rounds today.
Among the events in which Selangor athletes advanced to the finals were the men's and women's 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 50m backstroke.
The host contingent's swimmers also qualified for the finals of the men's and women's 400m individual medley, opening up further opportunities for Selangor to add to its medal haul.
All 13 swimmers will continue their challenge in the finals with the aim of delivering their best performances and securing places on the podium.
Their qualification for the finals has further strengthened Selangor's prospects of adding to its medal tally through swimming at SUKMA Selangor 2026.
The SUKMA swimming competition is being held at the Shah Alam Aquatic Centre, with 41 medal events contested from August 15 to 23.
