SHAH ALAM, Aug 19 — Backfilling and repair works were carried out yesterday at excavation sites following Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) cable installation works from Taman Belida to Desa Sebarau in Ulu Yam Lama.
Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) Zone 13 councillor Chinniah Subramaniam said the work was carried out by a TNB contractor, a day after a follow-up inspection with the MPHS Engineering Department and TNB.
He said the inspection was conducted following complaints over excavation holes that had yet to be filled after cable installation works along the route.
“The contractor took immediate action to fill the excavation holes to ensure the safety of road users, particularly residents of Taman Belida and Desa Sebarau.
“Thank you to the MPHS Engineering Department, TNB and the contractor for their swift cooperation in resolving this issue,” he said in a Facebook post.
Chinniah said monitoring of infrastructure conditions in Zone 13 would continue to ensure that residents' complaints received appropriate attention and action.
“We remain committed to looking after residents' welfare and ensuring that infrastructure safety in Zone 13 is always given priority,” he said.
On Monday, complaints were received over unfilled excavation holes as well as damage to drains and drain walls following cable installation works along the route.
Following the inspection, the TNB contractor was instructed to take immediate action to repair the damage identified.
