SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — Five districts in Selangor — Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat, Sepang and Klang — are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until noon today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said on Facebook that similar weather conditions are also forecast for Port Dickson and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan.
A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20 millimetres per hour that are occurring or expected to persist for more than an hour.
Thunderstorm warnings are short-term warnings valid for up to six hours for each issuance.
The public is advised to refer to the MetMalaysia website and its social media channels, as well as the myCuaca app, for the latest official weather information.
