SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 – The residents' activity centre at Dataran Taman Templer B, Bandar Baru Selayang will be upgraded with an allocation of RM50,000 under the Kita Selangor Penyayang Project to ensure that the community facilities continue to be comfortable to use.
Taman Templer state assemblyman Anfaal Saari said the repair works involved the neighbourhood watch (KRT) area station and the residents' association activity centre following several identified damages, including the roof, building structure and parts affected by termite attacks.
“Among the damage is the roof that was blown away by the wind and there are parts that have been eaten by termites to the point of rotting, such as the windows.
“We will come and inspect the site and ensure which parts need to be given priority for repair works in the RM50,000 allocation,” she told Media Selangor.
Anfaal emphasised that the facility plays an important role as a meeting place for residents, as well as being a place to implement various community activities by the Dataran Templer B Residents Association and KRT.
“This place is a space for them to gather for activities that may not be large, but are important enough as a place to unite the residents there,” he said.
Anfaal hopes that the repair work can provide comfort to the local community, as well as ensuring that the community facility continues to be used for community activities.
