SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 – The police are currently tracking a suspect and a Form 4 student reportedly involved in a brawl in a public place in the South Klang district.
South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey said the search for the suspects was following a viral video recording uploaded on the Facebook application showing two individuals fighting while a group of men watched.
"Based on police investigation, it was found that the incident occurred at about 1.20pm in the Pandamaran Sports Complex parking area, last Friday.
"The investigation also revealed that one of the individuals was a 16-year-old student, while the other man has not yet been identified.
"The cause of the incident is still under investigation and the police are tracing all individuals involved in the fight," Harian Metro reported.
Lim said that the South Klang district police headquarters (IPD) criminal investigation division has opened an investigation paper under Section 160 of the Penal Code for the offence of disorderly conduct which provides for a prison sentence of up to (6) months or a fine of up to RM 1,000 or both.
"The case is also being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for the offence of improper use of network services which provides for a prison sentence of not more than one year or a fine.
"The public who have any information related to this case are asked to come forward to assist in the investigation. “Information can be channeled by contacting the case investigation officer, Inspector Mohammad Baaz Mohd Zohari at 016-4117885, the Klang South IPD Operations Room at 03-33762222, or any nearby police station," he said.
