SUBANG JAYA, July 21 — MBSB Bank Bhd has expanded its presence in Selangor, as its new branch in USJ’s Taipan Business Centre was launched with an opening ceremony yesterday.
In a statement yesterday, the bank said the new branch aims to improve customers’ access to consumer, wealth and business banking services in one of Subang Jaya’s busiest commercial hubs.
It added that as the only bank headquartered in Petaling Jaya, it has established a presence across Selangor, with nine branches serving key communities in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Puchong, Klang, and Kelana Jaya.
In the same statement, MBSB Bank chairman Dato’ Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad said physical branches’ roles continue to evolve as customers increasingly embrace digital banking.
“As banking becomes more digital, the value of a branch is no longer defined by transactions alone, but by the quality of advice, judgement and support it provides.
“In conjunction with this opening, we encourage the USJ community to visit the branch, open an account with us, take advantage of the limited 3.78 per cent per annum promotional rate, and explore services such as GET (Global Easy Transfer) for their international transfer needs,” he added.
MBSB Bank said the USJ branch’s special rate of 3.78 per cent per annum for the 12-month Term Deposit-i and Term Investment Account-i will end on July 31. The offer applies to placements ranging from RM1,000 to RM100,000, while placements above RM100,000 are subject to the bank’s prevailing nationwide campaign rates.
“Through the USJ branch, individuals and families can access solutions for savings, investments, wealth management, personal financing, and property financing.
“The branch also supports entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) requiring deposit, financing and business banking solutions,” read the statement.
The bank also said the new USJ branch is part of MBSB Bank’s nationwide expansion strategy for 2026, which includes the launches and relocation of six branches, aimed at improving customer accessibility in key residential and commercial markets.
MBSB Bank said the USJ branch, located at No.1, Jalan USJ 10/1J, was opened on April 27 to provide customers with access to a wide range of financial solutions.
