PUTRAJAYA, July 20 — Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil today launched the Communications Ministry Strategic Plan 2026-2030 (PSKK), which will guide the ministry’s policies, strategies and programmes in line with the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) and Malaysia Madani agenda.
He said the strategic plan sets out various objectives and programmes that will be prioritised by the ministry and agencies under its purview.
“In short, there are three priorities, namely, better internet, more creative content, and more accurate information. Programmes under the ministry are already being implemented in accordance with this strategic plan.
“I believe the issues most frequently raised with the Communications Ministry, as well as its agencies and departments, will be addressed through this plan,” he told reporters after the monthly assembly at the ministry headquarters here.
The vision under PSKK is “A Connected, Informed and Creative Malaysia”, to be realised through three missions, four thrusts, and 94 programmes.
The three missions are to strengthen the nation’s communications connectivity, services and regulatory framework — foster the dissemination of authentic and inclusive information, and accelerate the development of a sustainable, and competitive local creative industry ecosystem.
To achieve these missions, four thrusts have been identified — strengthening the national communications ecosystem to deliver inclusive, quality and secure connectivity, enhancing the competitiveness of the film and music industries, transforming integrated information delivery, and reforming service delivery to ensure it is customer oriented and responsive to government policies.
