SHAH ALAM, July 15 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd has finished replacing 3.79km of piping in Taman Ampang Indah and Jalan Padang Tembak, said Kuala Kubu Bharu assemblyman Pang Sock Tao.
She said some 2.8km of pipes were replaced in Taman Ampang Indah, with the 998m replaced in Jalan Padang Tembak.
“Roads have also been fully repaved. Thank you residents for your patience throughout the pipe replacement works period,” she said in a Facebook post today.
Previously, Taman Ampang Indah was reported to have frequently experienced water cuts due to broken and old pipes.
The 2026 Selangor Budget allocated RM542.8 million for Air Selangor to replace pipes in the two neighbourhoods to resolve water supply disruptions there.
Selangor also allocated RM40.4 million to decrease non-revenue water (NRW) through several technical initiatives, including by replacing connector pipes and expanding district metering zones.
