SHAH ALAM, July 13 — A local YouTuber and football pundit in his 40s sustained severe injuries including a fractured eye bone, after being assaulted by two unidentified men at a petrol station near Bandar Sri Damansara on Saturday (July 11).
Berita Harian reported that Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Shamsudin Mamat said they received information on the incident at 7.56pm on the same day.
The initial investigations found that the victim had stopped at the station to inflate his vehicle's tyres when he was approached by two men riding a Yamaha LC motorcycle with an unidentified registration number.
“The suspect beat the victim several times before recording a video of the incident and fleeing the scene.
“As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a fractured eye socket and several other injuries,” he said in a statement today.
Shamsudin added that the motive behind the assault remains under investigation, and that the police are actively tracking down the two suspects.
“The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing grievous bodily harm.
“The public with information related to the incident is asked to come to the nearest police station or contact investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Danish Noor Azri at 013-6201412 to assist in the investigation,” he said.
Shamsudin also advised the public to refrain from issuing statements or circulating any materials related to the incident on any platform to avoid affecting the investigation.
