SHAH ALAM, July 13 — Three families in need in Kanchong Darat, Banting received cash assistance and essential items through the Ziarah Mawaddah programme with Selangor Islamic affairs committee chairman Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah yesterday.
The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) said the assistance was provided to help ease the burden faced by the families.
Following the outreach programme, the delegation visited the MMA badminton court in Jalan Sempadan, Kanchong Darat, which serves as a training centre for children to develop their badminton skills.
“This court is a family legacy passed down from grandfather to children and grandchildren, and has produced many badminton players who have gone on to make the country proud at the national level,” JAIS said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, the department expressed hope that efforts to engage with the community and support the development of younger generations would continue to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and the well-being of the ummah.
