KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended birthday wishes to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who turned 101.
“May Tun continue to be blessed with grace, good health and remain under His blessings, God-willing,” he said in a Facebook post.
Dr Mahathir was born on July 10, 1925, in Alor Setar, Kedah, and served as prime minister on two occasions — first for 22 years from 1981 to 2003, and again from 2018 to 2020.
When he was reappointed at the age of 92, he became the world’s oldest serving prime minister.
