SHAH ALAM, June 30 — The police are searching for 14-year-old local boy Muhammad Shazriq Ziqri Abdullah, who has been missing in Section 16 for the past seven days.
Shah Alam district police chief ACP Sarudin Samah said the boy’s mother lodged a report on Wednesday (June 24), prompting an immediate search operation.
“The teenager was found to be missing from his residence at Pangsapuri Rimba, Section 16, and he was last seen leaving the house at about 6.45am on June 23.
“His disappearance was realised by his family when he could not be contacted, and he has yet to be found. He is believed to have had a misunderstanding with his mother before going missing,” he said in a statement today.
Sarudin added that the police have initiated an investigation and opened a missing persons case, taking into account the teenager’s acquaintances and the locations he frequently visited.
He urged members of the public with relevant information to come forward to assist authorities in locating the teenager and ensuring his safety.
“Members of the public may contact the investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Razi Sahari, at 019-5717076 to provide leads that could assist in the search. Public cooperation is crucial in spreading this information so that Muhammad Shazriq Ziqri can be found safely as soon as possible,” Sarudin said.
He also advised the public not to speculate as it could disrupt the investigation, adding that search efforts will be intensified until the teenager is located.
