SHAH ALAM, June 24 — Effective cooperation and coordination between the state and federal governments across various sectors will ensure planned policies and initiatives can be implemented for the people’s benefit, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said such an approach plays an important role in safeguarding the people’s welfare and advancing the national development agenda.
“I believe an approach based on cooperation, coordination and effective action is crucial to ensure that every policy and initiative can be translated into real benefits for the people.
“God willing, Selangor will continue to give its full commitment to supporting the national development agenda for the welfare of the people and the progress of the state and country,” he said in a Facebook post.
Earlier, he attended the 149th Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers’ Meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Parliament yesterday.
Amirudin said the meeting discussed various matters, including efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education and training (TVET) through the National TVET Council (MTVET).
Also discussed were issues involving disaster preparedness and management, as well as the maintenance of roads, drainage and irrigation systems, and public infrastructure.
“This meeting serves as an important platform for the federal and state governments to coordinate various development agendas and issues that directly affect the people’s well-being,” he said.
