SHAH ALAM, June 23 — An unlicensed business premises operated by foreign nationals was slapped with two notices of offence and subjected to seizure action by the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) during an enforcement operation around Putra Perdana, Puchong, on Friday (June 19). 

The operation was carried out by its Northern Zone Night Unit enforcement officers to monitor and take action against premises operating without a valid license and displaying advertisements without approval. 

It said the move was to ensure compliance with existing by-laws and promote an orderly and regulated business environment.

“During the inspection, enforcement action was taken against one unlicensed premises. A total of two notices of offence were issued, while one seizure action was carried out against a premises operated by foreign nationals for conducting business activities without a valid licence,” MPSepang said in a Facebook post today. 

The enforcement action was taken under Provision 3 of the Trade, Business, and Industry Licensing By-Laws 2007 for operating a business without a license from the council, and Provision 7 of the By-Laws for illegally displaying an advertisement. 

It advised all business owners to ensure their licenses are applied for and renewed within the stipulated period, and to comply with all rules and regulations. 

The local authority also warned that enforcement actions will continue to ensure the areas under its administration remain orderly, safe, and compliant with legal requirements.
