KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — A weak earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was detected in the waters off Batu Pahat, Johor, at 1.17am today, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located 20km southwest of Batu Pahat at a depth of 10km.
“Tremors may have been felt in areas around Batu Pahat, Johor. MetMalaysia will continue to monitor the situation,” it said in a Facebook post.
