Jalan Rawang FT3209 closed for two months for flyover construction works

SHAH ALAM, June 18 — A section of Jalan Rawang FT3209 has been closed and a traffic diversion has been activated for two months starting today to facilitate foundation works for a flyover.

The Public Works Department issued a notice, shared by Rawang state assemblyman Chua Wei Kiat, stating that the closure covers the stretch from CH900 LHS (Kuala Garing junction) to CH1000 LHS (YTL junction) under the Rawang Industrial Road upgrading project (FT3209) in the Gombak district.

The affected work area covers approximately 100m of road to allow foundation construction works for the flyover to be carried out.

“Traffic diversion will begin at 10am on June 18, 2026, and will continue until August 18, 2026, to allow flyover foundation construction works to be carried out safely and in an orderly manner.

“Road users are advised to slow down and obey the traffic signage provided to ensure smooth traffic flow,” he said in a Facebook post.

The Rawang Industrial Road upgrading project aims to increase road capacity and ease recurring traffic congestion along the route.

Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and comply with instructions from authorities throughout the construction period.

Members of the public seeking further information on the construction works, or traffic diversion may contact the contractor at 014-284 6431 or 011-1453 0014.
