SHAH ALAM, June 15 — Several roads along the Shah Alam city centre will be temporarily closed on Saturday (June 20) and Sunday (June 21) to facilitate the Selangor Criterium Series 2026 Series 1, organised by the Selangor Youth Community.
The Shah Alam Municipal Council said the affected routes include Persiaran Tasik and sections of Persiaran Masjid and Persiaran Dato’ Menteri.
The closure is scheduled from 10pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday, and from 6am to 12pm on Sunday.
The closures are necessary to ensure the smooth conduct of the championship while prioritising the safety of participants, officials, and road users throughout the event.
“Members of the public are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes throughout the road closure period.
“Cooperation and attention from all parties are greatly appreciated to ensure that this programme runs smoothly,” it said in a Facebook post today.
