Four women reported lost while hiking at Bukit Tunggul, Dengkil

SHAH ALAM, June 14 — A hiking excursion at Bukit Tunggul, Lorong Bahagia Jenderam Hilir near Dengkil turned into a tense situation when four women were reported lost in the area this morning.

Harian Metro reported that the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department's assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a report regarding the incident at 10.13am.

In response, a team from the Dengkil Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct a search-and-rescue operation.

“Four women, aged between 25 and their 40s, are believed to have become lost while undertaking a hiking activity.

“However, contact has been established with the victims. Firefighters are currently conducting search and rescue operations to locate them,” he said.

Mukhlis added that the operation involved six firefighters and a fire engine led by Muhamad Sakirin Selamat.

At present, efforts to locate and safely bring all four women out of the area are actively being carried out by the rescue team.
